    You can get inspiration from anywhere and from anything, but it's always good to keep a watch on what interesting things are going on in the world, what other creative people are thinking about and what new developments are being made in different fields of knowledge.

  • Go out and look at some art. This website lists all the art galleries in each city in Britain. Artists are always looking at things in new and exciting ways.

  • MIT have been at the forefront of technology innovation for years. They have over a million documents on this website relating to what they're doing. Their website receives over 7,000,000 hits a day from people interested in what they're thinking about.

  • New Scientist is an excellent weekly science magazine which always has interesting discussion from recent research developments in the science world.

  • Some of the world's most interesting, creative and intelligent thinkers give talks on their latest research developments or achievements, with a general focus on technology, entertainment and design although people from most subject areas have talked here.

  • The AD is arguably the most thought provoking architectural magazine out there and is considered by many to be at the forefront of intellectual and cultural thought on matters relating to architecture.

  • Many architects find inspiration from nature and the national geographic is a good place to see what's going on in the world. Find out more about global warming, natural disasters and other natural phenomena. Another suggestion is to find out what the geography teachers in your institution are researching at the moment, you can usually do this by going onto your university website.

  • A radio show which looks at the history of ideas in the realms of philosophy, science, literature, religion and the influence these ideas have on us today. Have a listen to the podcast. Another good place at the BBC for ideas is their flagship technology program called Click, they always have something new and interesting to think about.

  • Creativity magazine produce an annual list of 50 of the most influential or interesting creative people working in the world today.
