League tables don't tell the full story but they can give you a good indication of what a university may be like as a whole and the overall reputation of the university. As well as the reputation of a school, it is also important to understand that different institutions have different approaches to architectural design, some institutions are very conceptual and investigative while some may like to focus on social agendas, or engineering. With this in mind, an architecture school that may not do well in the league tables may be the perfect place for you to go, while an architecture school at the top of a table may be the wrong place for you to study.
